Our Mission

our Story

At Deep Root Tree Care, it is our mission to protect the Ash trees of Colorado's Front Range from the invasive Emerald Ash Borer.

Trees have fascinated Brian Kolokowsky, Deep Root Tree Care's founder, as long as he can remember. Growing up in the forests of Virginia and North Carolina, he spent his time outdoors in the woods discovering nature. As he got older, his interest in forests grew into an obsession: he knew he'd found his life's calling.

After receiving his AS in forest management, he began working for a local National Park where was able to put his new knowledge to use. This just served to spurn new interests, leading him to attend and later graduate from North Carolina State University with a BS in forest management. Employment opportunities with a local land management agency brought Brian to Colorado, where he has honed his skills in invasive species management.
